- "Oh, Lady, Be Good! Best of the Gershwin Songbook," Ella Fitzgerald. Ella's lovely voice, superb phrasing and great band arrangements makes this an enjoyable rendering of some Gershwin classics.
- "Back To Black," Amy Winehouse. Amy Winehouse has the potential to be one of the great pop-jazz vocalists and song writers of the generation. The chord changes continue to amaze me.
- "Adriana Lecouvreur," Sutherland, Bergonzi, Nucci, Bonynge. Lyrical, captivating, great recording of this opera. Sadly, the plot of this opera is incomprehensible.
- "Turandot." This recording of the Puccini opera features Montserrat Caballe, Luciano Pavarotti, Leona Mitchell and Giorgio Tozzi with Riccardo Chailly and the San Francisco Opera Company. I am realizing that this is a grand and expansive opera that is a full listening experience (and if in person, a full visual experience).
